Pricing and Process

Dressage Musical Freestyles

Pricing for freestyles depends on both the level of your ride and the kind of music you’d like. Introductory-level routines using pre-made music begin at $300, with prices increasing for higher levels or more customized options. Other factors that may affect cost include music selection, song licensing, and custom choreography.

If you’d like custom music, you can choose either a public license (the piece goes into my catalog for others to purchase, at a lower cost) or an exclusive license (you retain sole use rights to the music).

I can work with you in two ways:

  • Music editing — editing pre-made tracks into a mix that matches your choreography.
  • Original composition — creating a custom score tailored to your routine.

For both options, I’ll ask for a video of your choreography (or, if I’m providing choreography, videos of your horse’s gaits). For original compositions, we’ll also discuss your desired style and atmosphere, and I’ll create a short mockup so you can confirm the direction before I complete the full piece.

In every case, you’ll receive a draft version to review and request any adjustments before final delivery. My goal is to create music that enhances your performance and feels like it was written for you.

Custom Choreography

With the help of my talented wife, we can also provide custom choreography for your freestyle. From the music to the movement, we deliver a complete package that sets you up for success.

Gymnastics

Pricing for gymnastics routines depends on whether you’d like pre-made edits or fully custom music. Prices start at $100 for pre-made edits and $175 for custom music with a public license. Other factors that affect cost include whether you need music selected for you, song licenses, and whether you’d like exclusive rights to the music.

I can provide either edits of existing music or compose custom music from scratch. For custom music, you can choose between a public license or an exclusive license, which guarantees you the sole use rights to the piece.

For custom compositions, we’ll begin with a conversation (by phone or email) about the style and atmosphere you want for your routine. I’ll then create a short mockup for you to approve before moving forward with the full piece.

Whether you choose custom music or a pre-made edit, you’ll receive a rough draft first, with the opportunity to request changes before the final version is delivered.

Mixing

Mixing services begin at $60 per song. Final pricing depends on several factors, including:

  • Song length
  • Number of tracks
  • Sound replacement needs
  • Vocal editing requirements
  • Automation complexity
  • Number of mix variations requested (e.g., vocal up, vocal down, TV, acapella, etc.)

Batch pricing is available for albums and EPs.

Throughout the process, I’ll provide rough mixes so you can give feedback and ensure the mix is moving in a direction consistent with your vision.
